Fort Smith Public Schools is proud to recognize Ms. Sandy Curl as the Darby Middle School Classified Employee of the Year. Ms. Curl goes above and beyond to create a welcoming and efficient cafeteria environment for students and staff. Her commitment to excellence, leadership, and genuine care for those around her make her an invaluable part of the Darby community.
Ms. Curl is known for her professionalism, patience, and ability to train and support both new and veteran employees. She fosters a respectful and team-oriented workplace, ensuring that everyone feels valued. As one colleague put it, “She is a very awesome role model for any person to follow. She loves kids, and anyone who has worked for Sandy has been trained well and shown respect.” Whether she is managing the daily operations of the cafeteria, assisting students with special dietary needs, or mentoring her team, Ms. Curl approaches every task with kindness and dedication.
Beyond her work at Darby, Ms. Curl’s passion for helping others extends into the community. She teaches Sunday school in her free time, demonstrating the same warmth and encouragement that she brings to the cafeteria every day. Her ability to create a positive and uplifting atmosphere has made a lasting impact on both students and staff.
